medDARE is fully committed to protect the data privacy of our partners. We offer completely anonymized data which fully complies with GDPR and HIPAA regulations.

Under no circumstances there is any personal information about our patients either in case description or images that lead to identifying an individual.

We transfer medical datasets to organisations in other countries in accordance with all applicable laws.

Data Storage

medDARE file data is stored on cloud storages on EU based servers which offers secure online storage.

medDARE offers secure online storage. All user-generated data is stored on servers that are located in secured facilities with 24/7/365 surveillance.

We have a number of security precautions in place to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of medical datasets. medDARE has strict information security policies and procedures in place to ensure that our medical datasets are stored safely.

GDPR compliance

GDPR regulations have been fully implemented into medDARE operational policies and processes.

The GDPR defines ‘personal data’ as any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified, in particular by reference to an identifier. This definition provides for a wide range of personal identifiers to constitute personal data, including name, identification number, location data or online identifier. No such data is stored, shared or transferred by medDARE.

HiPAA compliance

medDARE is committed to complying with applicable rules and regulations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

We provide only protected health information which means information that is created or received by medDARE from its partners, and relates to the past, present, or future physical or mental health condition of a patient.

According to HIPAA guidelines, we don’t provide the following information: name, initials, date of birth, address, phone number or any other contact information, e-mail address, unique identifying numbers , vehicle identifiers, medical device identifiers (e.g. serial numbers), facial photograph or comparable image.
